did someone steal an election?

i don't know. i don't really care. but it does seem somewhat humorous to me that the party that screamed bloody murder about "stolen elections" the last couple of cycles are doing their damnedest to keep a low profile this election. when over 250000 votes are cast, and the winner is selected by just a 91 vote margin, you absolutely know that the dems would be enraged, screaming with wild eyes and spittle flying to any microphone or television camera aimed their way. the republicans are taking their lumps, regrouping, and finding out what they did wrong, and how to fix it. the difference in between the two parties is starkly apparent.

and of course, if anyone anywhere is foolish enough to think the dems are bringing in a fresh culture devoid of corruption or shady dealings, i'm frightened to think that those people might actually vote. there is crap on both sides, including the culture of corruption rep. murtha is steeped in, going all the way back to the old abscam days. and the new guys? they have problems of their own. or should i say, WE have problems, that they own.

What do you mean, problems? The Dems have no problems. Oh, wait. Maybe you're talking about the speaker's own real estate dealings. Or maybe Jack "Abscam" Murtha. Or William "Freezer" Jefferson. And then there's Alcee "I was impeached but so what" Hastings. And on and on and on.....

Democrats have incredible advantages. Their base are incapable of holding leadership accountable for anything as long as intent sounds good, including the perjury of a lawyer-president.
Worse, they apparently win by default when Republicans immitate them.

Yup, you're absolutely right, Bo. And this was my district, too. Rob handled the "defeat" like a complete gentleman. He's a great guy. He was kinda liberal spender, but he took care of his district. He helped save the Submarine Base and the region with it, and now they've sent him packing as a nice "F-You" for a thanks.

When the next BRAC comes around and the base is on the list again, Courtney won't be able to, nor care enough to do anything about it.

And how the Dems pulled the lead out at the last minute, when Rob had been leading all along does look suspicious, now that you mention it. In fact, Courtney seemed rather sure he was going to be the winner, and went to DC for the orientation before the recount was completed LIKE HE WASN"T WORRIED ABOUT IT!!! Yes, very suspicious indeed.
