The Dundee team's research was based on reports that people on a vegetarian diet may be more at risk from dental erosion because such a large quantity of the foods they eat, such as fruits and vegetables, tend to be quite acidic in nature.

Interesting. A dentist once guessed that I was a vegetarian (and I was, at the time) because of how healthy my gums appeared to be. He thought I must eat lots of raw veggies. Go figure.
At least when your arteries have clogged up with all that saturated fat and your system's full of growth hormone, you'll have nice gums. Enjoy :)
